DALLAS, June 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Tuesday Morning Corporation (Nasdaq: TUES), announced the appointment of Benjamin D. Chereskin as chairman of its board of directors and Mark E. Jarvis as acting president, after the previously announced death of Jerry M. Smith, former president, CEO, and chairman. Mr. Chereskin is managing director of Madison Dearborn Partners, Inc. Mr. Jarvis will continue his duties as CFO while also performing the duties as acting president.
Mr. Smith had planned retirement at year-end, and the company has been actively engaged in the search for a successor for some time. "We have identified several qualified candidates, and hope to announce a successor in the near future," stated Mr. Chereskin. SOURCE Tuesday Morning Corporation
